Midjourney Unveils New Tools for Editing AI-Generated Images

Midjourney, one of the leading generative AI applications in recent years, has rolled out new tools that enable users to edit AI-generated images. With the introduction of the Web Editor, editing these AI-produced visuals has become much more accessible.

Users can now make specific adjustments, such as spot edits, zooming in or out, and changing perspectives. Additionally, they can modify the initial commands used to create the images, allowing for partial or complete reconstruction of the visuals.

All editing tools will be in the same window

In a statement released by Midjourney on X, it was highlighted that the new features will be integrated into the lightbox functionality. This means users will be able to make certain adjustments before finalizing the image. The AI developer emphasized that the Web Editor combines multiple image editing actions into a single interface.

The editor tool also includes an eraser feature, allowing users to remove specific areas they wish to recreate. Additionally, a command-switching feature enables editing without the need to fully regenerate the image. The tool’s capabilities also extend to a screen and scale feature that enlarges the canvas.

However, users currently cannot alter the entire image and must start from scratch if major changes are needed. It’s not yet possible to change the main subject or make fine adjustments without using the command editing feature.
