Adidas plunges into the world of the metaverse with new NFT partnerships

We talked to you about Nike’s expansion in NFT and metaverse in the past days, and we shared with you the news that the company bought the virtual shoe company RTFKT in this context . Nike is not the only sports brand that has taken steps on NFT. Now Adidas is diving into the world of the metaverse with new NFT partnerships.
Adidas stepped into the world of the metaverse by coming together with three important NFT players , Bored Ape Yacht Club , PUNKS Comic and gmoney . In this context, the company is launching an NFT series called “Into the Metaverse”. With this series, NFT owners will be able to purchase special product discounts. Adidas says the members will help shape what kinds of products and experiences the company brings together for the NFT-owning community.
Adidas’ access to this metaverse will include virtual wearables and corresponding physical products for the blockchain-based gaming world The Sandbox and other platforms. The brand has also acquired a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT called Indigo Herz to join one of the most active communities in the NFT space.
n the process, NFT buyers will have access to digital and physical Adidas products and experiences. Initially, physical items will include sweatpants, a hoodie with a blockchain address, and an orange beanie.
NFTs will be sold through Adidas’ website for 0.2 ETH, or about $800 , from December 17 . Adidas did not share information on how many NFTs will be sold, citing security protocols.
