Microsoft Empowers Customers to Build Custom AI Tools

Starting in November, Microsoft will allow its customers to create autonomous AI tools. The tech giant is preparing to take a significant step in the artificial intelligence market. Beginning next month, the company will enable customers to build their own AI tools to automate routine tasks. Microsoft has referred to these tools as “apps for an AI-driven world.”

What’s more, no coding knowledge will be required to create these tools. New applications can be built through commands using Copilot Studio. For this process, Microsoft will utilize both its own technology and OpenAI’s ChatGPT tool, in which it has invested billions of dollars.

Artificial intelligence solution for routine tasks

With its new AI tools, Microsoft will automate routine business processes that require minimal human intervention. These tools will assist employees with various tasks such as supply chain management, expense tracking, and customer communication. Additionally, 10 pre-built solutions will be offered to customers.

Microsoft’s goal is to make Copilot the primary interface for interacting with artificial intelligence. Charles Lamanna, the Corporate Vice President of Business and Industry for Copilot, stated, “Every employee will have a personalized Copilot with an AI-powered assistant.”

This move highlights Microsoft’s intent to start seeing tangible returns on its substantial investments in AI. In September, the company’s shares fell by 2.8%. Nevertheless, Microsoft continues to push forward, focusing on broader adoption of technologies like Copilot.
