The Mutant Apes Yacht Club, or simply Mutant Apes, is an offshoot of the Bored Apes Yacht Club (BAYC), the most prestigious and costly NFT collection in the Web3 sphere.

The MAYC features 20,000 NFTs themed around Mutant Monkeys. The inaugural batch was launched on August 28, 2021. Yuga Labs, the creators behind BAYC, declared that Mutant Apes could be minted exclusively by BAYC owners through ‘exposing existing Bored Apes to a bottle of Mutant Serum.’

This process essentially involves the merging of the BAYC token with the Serum NFT smart contract. Additionally, half of the first generation was sold via a Dutch auction, amassing $96 million in less than an hour.

This collection was introduced to draw more enthusiasts to the NFT market following the sale of BAYC tokens. As of the last update, this collection ranked as the second-largest NFT drop in terms of market capitalization.

The Azuki collection pays tribute to traditional Japanese anime art. Its initial launch featured 8,700 avatars, each priced at $3,400.

The first generation of Azuki sold out within minutes. Additionally, the developers released another portion of the NFTs through a private sale, which succeeded in raising $2 million.


CloneX marks a pioneering venture into the next wave of NFT projects, debuting in mid-2022. This project is RTFKT’s inaugural mainstream collection, a leading metaverse studio that Nike has acquired. Developed through a collaboration with renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, CloneX has quickly ascended to become an exclusive club within the blue-chip NFT collection sphere.

The collection comprises 20,000 CloneX NFT avatars, distributed among six ‘normal’ subclasses or DNA types: human, robot, angel, demon, reptilian, undead, plus two premium subclasses, including Murakami clones and aliens.


Illuvium is an open-world role-playing game (RPG) that spans multiple protocols, originally launched on the Ethereum Blockchain and currently in public beta. To ensure minimal fees and enhanced throughput, Illuvium integrates Immutable X, a scaling solution alongside blockchain technology. In the game, players embark on adventures across a digital landscape in search of native creatures known as Illuvials.

The game allows players to compete for in-game assets, which are NFTs. Additionally, seasoned Illuvium enthusiasts have the opportunity to develop their Illuvials, unlocking new levels within the game. Illuvium introduces three gameplay modes: Arena, Zero, and Overworld. The Illuvium Arena is accessible in beta, with the two more advanced modes, Zero and Overworld, set to be released to all players in the near future.

My Neighbor Alice

My Neighbor Alice, which launched in January 2021, welcomes players into an enchanting world where cryptocurrency enthusiasts can trade NFTs, purchase virtual land, and interact with one another. The game operates on the Ethereum, Chromia, and BNB Chain platforms, marking it as one of the pioneering decentralized games to be accessible on conventional gaming markets as well.

Within the world of My Neighbor Alice, houses, fences, animals, and plants constitute the primary in-game assets available for purchase. Players have the opportunity to form alliances and devise intricate game strategies. Additionally, the game offers a free-to-play option. However, for missions and levels that offer crypto rewards, players are required to possess ALICE tokens.


The Big Three of the Metaverse are currently enduring a challenging bear market, with their core token values plummeting by 95-99%. Despite this significant downturn, these platforms continue to attract cryptocurrency enthusiasts across a broad spectrum of expertise.
