The investigation revealed that Altman was dismissed rather abruptly without adequate justification, and his conduct did not warrant such action. In response to these findings, OpenAI’s board of directors has undergone reorganization. Sam Altman has been officially reinstated as CEO of OpenAI, with Greg Brockman reappointed as the company’s President.
Under the new leadership, OpenAI has introduced several changes. These include the implementation of new artificial intelligence guidelines, the establishment of a whistleblower hotline, and the addition of three new board members, who are reported to be Sue Desmond-Hellmann, Nicole Seligman, and Fidji Simo.
