In September, ChatGPT reached an impressive milestone, accumulating 15.6 million downloads across iOS and Android platforms worldwide.
Additionally, it generated an impressive gross revenue of around $4.6 million. The AI assistant’s popularity is on the rise, as indicated by its continuous increase in app installations and revenue growth.
MOBILE CHATGPT BROKE A RECORD IN SEPTEMBER
Mobile ChatGPT generated $2.1 million in gross revenue in June, which then rose to $2.74 million in July, $3.81 million in August, and most recently, $4.58 million in September.
COMPETITOR WITH CHATGPT
Despite ChatGPT’s success, it is not the highest-grossing AI application. According to data from Appfigures, it faces strong competition from Ask AI.
With significant investments in advertising, Ask AI has experienced revenue growth, achieving $6.48 million in May, coinciding with the launch of the ChatGPT mobile app, and increasing to $6.55 million by August.
Even though there was a slight decrease to $5.51 million in September, Ask AI’s revenue still exceeds that of ChatGPT.
