Dick’s Sporting Goods has announced the launch of their expansive back-to-school campaign, emphasizing versatility and encouraging young people to express their individual styles. With its latest marketing initiative, the company aims to directly engage children, rather than their parents. This strategy will focus on sports, style, and personal development, targeting children aged 9 to 15, the core demographic of the platform.
In this virtual environment on Roblox, digital outfits will be available for free in exchange for style points, the in-game currency of Roblox. Users can earn these points by completing challenges and obstacle courses, which can then be converted into currency.
The virtual spaces within Dick’s Sporting Goods in Roblox will feature various areas like a cafe social center, corridors, gym, court, basketball court, and locker room. Additionally, users will have the opportunity to collect virtual school supplies for their avatars, such as notebooks and water bottles. Each student will be assigned their own locker and can use the experiential currency, known as style points, to purchase gear specific to their avatars.
