Now in its second generation, the Tesla Optimus exhibits impressive capabilities, demonstrating precise control over its body and even showcasing the ability to handle delicate objects like an egg with great accuracy.

Tesla, renowned for its electric cars, has been actively working on the development of Optimus, the humanoid robot, for a considerable period.

While the progress of the project has been relatively gradual, the newly shared video highlights significant advancements. The second-generation robot stands out with its lifelike movements and remarkable precision in handling objects, garnering attention for its evolving capabilities.

Faster, more realistic and more flexible

The latest video released for Tesla Optimus reveals that the humanoid robot has undergone significant improvements, being now 30 percent faster.

Notably, the robot features enhanced humanoid geometry, evident in its more natural and non-“grinning” movements. Optimus has experienced a 10-kilogram weight reduction and now boasts complete control over its body.

Tesla’s humanoid robot has received updates to its hands as well. These new hands exhibit precise functionality, showcasing the capability to handle delicate items such as an egg without causing breakage.

Tesla has ambitious plans for Optimus, intending to deploy this humanoid robot within its own manufacturing facilities.

Although the specific timeline for implementation remains unclear, the integration of artificial intelligence-supported humanoid robots into Tesla factories has the potential to usher in a new era in the automotive industry.
