In celebration of its first anniversary, Microsoft has rolled out a significant update for Copilot, the artificial intelligence model that offers free access to GPT-4 and DALL-E 3. This update introduces a revamped design, making it more user-friendly.
Microsoft unveiled a fresh update for Copilot, enabling free usage of GPT-4 and DALL-E 3, coinciding with the one-year anniversary of Bing Chat’s debut, which was later rebranded as Copilot.
The latest update overhauls the interface design of Copilot, aiming for enhanced usability. Additionally, the update extends to include a scanner feature in both iOS and Android versions of Copilot.
Copilot will provide you with suggestions on how you can use the model
With the update, Copilot boasts a more streamlined and elegant design. The most significant new feature is the recommendations that greet users upon opening the application or website. Copilot now presents suggestions, guiding users on the various functionalities available to them.
Above, you can find some of these suggestions. They encompass commands or text indicating what you might inquire of the bot. Furthermore, artificial intelligence-generated visuals relevant to the topics have been incorporated. It’s worth mentioning that Copilot will provide varied suggestions each time you log in. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals uncertain about how to pose questions to the chatbot effectively.
New tabs have also been added that allow you to use Copilot for different purposes
The new tabs, accessible from the upper left part of the application, enable the use of Copilot for various purposes. For instance, the “Vacation Planner” tab offers assistance with travel planning. The “Designer” tab is for creating images, while the “Cooking Assistant” aids in preparing meals. The “Fitness Trainer” is available for exercise routines.
Microsoft has disclosed usage statistics for Copilot. According to the company, over 5 billion conversations have been held using the model, and more than 5 billion images have been generated. It’s noteworthy that Copilot can be used without any login required, offering access to normally paid models such as GPT-4.
Additionally, the tech giant has launched a Copilot-themed advertisement set to air during the Super Bowl, the championship game of the National Football League (NFL). This ad, found below, emphasizes that Copilot is accessible everywhere.
