Musk: The test version of the Grok 2 AI model will be released soon
In March, Musk claimed that the Grok 2 model would surpass all existing AI models “in all metrics.” Additionally, it has been announced that the Grok 3 model will follow closely after Grok 2, with its release expected by the end of the year.
Grok 3 is anticipated to perform at a level comparable to or exceeding GPT-5, developed by OpenAI, which has not yet been released. The first version of the Grok model was launched in November 2023, coinciding with Musk’s founding of xAI, a company created to rival OpenAI.
Shortly after its inception, xAI secured $6 billion in funding, giving the company a valuation of $24 billion. The Grok 1.5 model, released in April, garnered attention for its enhanced inference capabilities and its ability to handle longer text inputs.
Given these developments, we are keen to see how Musk and xAI will influence the AI landscape. Do you think the Grok 2 and Grok 3 models will surpass current AI models? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
