Meta has finally revealed its new smart glasses series, developed in collaboration with Oakley. These glasses come equipped with hardware like a camera, speakers, and microphone, allowing for voice communication and interaction with Meta’s AI when paired with a phone.
The limited-edition special model of the new glasses series, “Oakley Meta HSTN,” will be available for pre-order starting July 11th with a price tag of $499. Other models, set to be released this summer, will have a starting price of $399.
Key Features and Availability

The glasses offer features such as listening to music, making phone calls, and interacting with Meta AI. They can also record video in 3K resolution. Notably, the product boasts a splash-resistant design (IPX4 certified), an 8-hour usage time, and can run for up to 48 hours total with its charging case.
The new series includes five different frame and lens combinations. These models are compatible with prescription lenses and come in options like warm gray, black, brown smoke, and clear frames. Some lenses are photochromic, changing color based on outdoor light conditions. The limited-edition special model features gold accents and Oakley’s signature PRIZM lenses.
These products will be available for sale in numerous regions, including the US, Canada, European countries, and Australia.
Partnership Goals
Meta previously signed a multi-year agreement with EssilorLuxottica, the owner of both Ray-Ban and Oakley brands. To date, over two million Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses have been sold. Through this collaboration, Meta aims to sell 10 million smart glasses annually by 2026.
