Menswear Shifts to the Metaverse
Kiğılı, a frontrunner in men’s fashion retail, has ventured into the Metaverse by opening its first store, reflecting its commitment to technology investments. In this virtual store, shopping enthusiasts can create their avatars and engage in a unique shopping experience.
In May, Kiğılı showcased wearable NFT clothing through a holographic fashion show and debuted its 2022/23 Autumn-Winter collection with a fashion show that merged the real world with the metaverse. This innovative approach led to the launch of the first Metaverse store as part of its Web3 technology investments.
The Metaverse store offers customers of the men’s clothing brand an immersive shopping experience enhanced by Augmented Reality (AR), enabling them to access products from their homes. Soon, customers will have the ability to virtually try on products as if they were in a physical store. Moreover, the Kiğılı Metaverse store will provide a space where avatars can interact and socialize.
Hilal Suerdem, Vice Chairman of the Board at Kiğılı, emphasized their increasing investments in Web3 technologies, stating, “As the lines between online and offline life blur rapidly, we recognize our customers’ desire to engage with us through various channels.
We’re expanding our Web3 technology investments to meet these demands. Following our pioneering achievements last year, we’ve launched our first Metaverse store this year, bringing our leadership in men’s fashion retail to the digital fashion world. Our commitment to these technologies will continue as we aim to shape the future of retail today.”
The Metaverse store represents a significant step for the brand in this digital evolution.
Create your avatar, explore the universe
After nearly three months of preparation, Kiğılı’s Metaverse store has been launched, aiming to offer digital users a unique privilege, from its design to its collections. To visit the store, users are required to download the GoArt app and create their own avatar.
Upon entering the Metaverse, customers are greeted by a store assistant who provides information about the store’s layout and its collection products. The ground floor of the two-story store features the Autumn-Winter Collection available in physical stores, the brand’s globally recognized Edirne Red products, and tuxedo collections for life’s special moments.
The upper floor, reachable via a sustainably designed moving staircase, showcases the Tomorrow collection, which focuses on ecological and technological products, embodying the brand’s commitment to nature and humanity.
This collection includes the Ecoline range, featuring 100% naturally dyed, comfortable clothing made from plant roots and leaves, and hemp-based trousers and shirts that use 20 times less water in production. The Tecnoline range offers innovative garments like a sweat-proof, stain-resistant shirt implemented with antibacterial silver ion technology.
Visitors to the Metaverse store can also earn points through tokens, brand NFTs, and discount coupons available throughout the store.
As developments in the Metaverse store evolve, users will soon gain access to special privileges, such as attendance at exclusive events and rights to purchase NFT series using Kiğılı points accumulated in the store. Moreover, users can collect items to energize their avatars by traversing the store’s portals, with the added benefit of using these items at other portals as well.
