Galatasaray Enters Metaverse : Creating a Virtual Galatasaray City

Galatasaray, under the leadership of President Burak Elmas, is set to realize the digital project he pledged during his election campaign.

The prominent football club plans to join Facebook’s Metaverse 3 project, with an ambitious goal of establishing a Galatasaray-themed city and world within these virtual spaces.

This move follows the club’s successful venture into cryptocurrency, having earned 20 million Euros from the Galatasaray Fan Token, an initiative started during Mustafa Cengiz’s presidency.

Now, the club is looking to expand its digital footprint further into the virtual universe.

Galatasaray’s involvement in the Metaverse 3 project, a part of Facebook’s expanding digital ecosystem, signifies a strategic step towards generating significant resources for the club through this virtual world.

Galatasaray CEO Hande Başev and former Riot Games Turkey President Bora Koçyiğit, in discussions with Facebook, finalized the club’s investment in both Metaverse 3 and Earth 2 projects.

This venture will not only create a virtual Galatasaray city and world in the purchased areas but is also expected to bolster the club’s financial structure through digital revenues.
