Canva is getting ready to transition to a full-fledged enterprise version for large-scale organizations. Here are the details!
Although Canva introduced an enterprise version in 2019, this product was more suitable for small teams. Now, the company has announced a new enterprise version packed with features to meet the needs of truly large organizations.
The features of the Canva enterprise version for large organizations are as follows:
The new enterprise version of Canva offers features such as single sign-on (SSO), advanced security options, and tools for IT departments to manage large groups of users.
In addition, central brand management and dedicated support services are provided. Cam Adams, the company’s co-founder and CPO, noted that while they transitioned from individual users to small teams in 2019, they now realize that much larger organizations are using Canva, highlighting the need to develop a product that caters to the needs of larger companies.
“We currently have groups of up to 5,000 people in a business using Canva, so we had to develop a new Canva enterprise product to meet the needs of these larger groups,” Adams said. “And that’s exactly what we did.” This new version aims to solve three specific problems Canva faces when transitioning to large organizations.
First, design is no longer limited to a single group but spans multiple departments and industries. Second, with a variety of AI tools, CIOs are increasingly concerned about the proliferation of these tools. Finally, there’s a workflow component. With more departments involved in the design process and AI becoming more prevalent, there is a need for a tool that can manage not only back-end user management but also the movement of jobs between these different segments.
The previous version of Canva will be positioned as a viable team product and will be available for $100 per person per year, with a minimum of three people. Pricing for the new enterprise version will start at $300 per person per year and can be negotiated with volume-based discounts.
Founded in 2012, Australian-based Canva has raised more than $560 million in investment to date, with the company’s most recent valuation set at $40 billion. With more than 180 million users worldwide, Canva continues to support users of all sizes by offering solutions for large organizations with its new enterprise products.
