Features of Samsung’s Daily Use Smart Glasses Revealed

In addition to the Galaxy XR extended reality headset, Samsung is developing smart glasses suitable for daily use. New details about these glasses have emerged. Last month, Samsung officially announced the long-awaited Apple Vision Pro rival, the Galaxy XR headset. The device came with many features such as a Snapdragon XR2+ processor, 16 GB RAM, micro-OLED screens offering a 109-degree horizontal and 100-degree vertical field of view, and AI support. It was announced that the device, released only in the US and South Korea, would be sold for $1,799.99.
However, the glasses Samsung developed were not just the Galaxy XR. It was rumored that the company was developing another pair of smart glasses suitable for daily use, similar to Meta Ray-Ban. New information has now emerged about these glasses, codenamed “Haean“.
What will Samsung’s smart glasses offer?

It is stated that these glasses, bearing the model number SM-O200P, will have transition lenses. This means the lenses can darken in direct sunlight and become more transparent indoors. On the other hand, it is added that they will have a built-in camera, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth support, but will not come with their own mobile data connection.
Information about the camera had appeared in previous leaks. It was said that the camera could use a 12 MP Sony IMX681 CMOS sensor with QR code and motion recognition features. Apart from these, it was also reported that it would be powered by Qualcomm’s AR1 chipset and include a 155 mAh battery.
That is all we know for now about Samsung‘s smart glasses suitable for daily use. It was thought that the device would be introduced together with the Galaxy XR, but this did not happen. Unfortunately, we do not have any information on when it will arrive.
