Yahoo and Decentraland Continue Partnership

Yahoo Decentraland on Metaverse

The Yahoo Electric City event represents a significant milestone in the company’s foray into the Metaverse. Previously, Yahoo has engaged in projects supported by NFTs, including a collaborative event in March. During this event, they showcased “The Initiation,” an experience developed by Charli Cohen and RSTLSS, which was featured in Decentraland as part of the Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW).

Now, Yahoo is taking further steps to expand its presence in the NFT space, demonstrating a newfound stability and commitment. The company is actively working on creating memorable events for the NFT community, indicating a robust and strategic approach to this innovative digital realm.

Yahoo Interested in NFT Industry

Last year marked a significant collaboration between internet behemoth Yahoo and the messaging platform Line, focusing on NFT trading within the Line blockchain ecosystem.

As per the partnership, the trading of NFTs was set to occur on Line’s own blockchain. Yahoo Japan has taken an active role in this domain, notably auctioning NFTs on its platform. The Yahoo Japan Auction service, operational since 1998, has been a cornerstone of this initiative.

To facilitate NFT trading on their platform, the two entities have seamlessly integrated Yahoo Auctions with the Line Bitmax wallet. This wallet, a proprietary blockchain solution developed by Line, is adept at managing digital assets, including NFTs.

This integration allows users to trade NFTs directly on Yahoo Auctions using the Line Bitmax wallet. Yahoo’s engagement in the cryptocurrency sector has been robust since 2019. Additionally, the company is recognized for its support of Taotao, a significant local cryptocurrency exchange that commenced operations in 2019.
