The Humanoid Robot Industry Is Heating Up! Asia’s Richest Person Joins the Race

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, investments in humanoid robots have surged significantly. Each day, a new company unveils its robotic innovations. Now, Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s richest person with a net worth of $98 billion, has joined the trend, marking a significant move into the humanoid robot industry.

The robots, supported by the renowned businessman behind Reliance Industries, will be developed by Addverb Technologies, a company at the forefront of robotics innovation.

Aiming to Compete with the USA and China

As with many industries, the USA and China currently dominate the fields of artificial intelligence and robotic technologies. Ambani aims to challenge this dominance by leveraging Addverb Technologies to develop his own robots. Furthermore, he seeks to surpass billionaire competitors such as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, both of whom have made substantial investments in robotics.

According to Sangeet Kumar, the CEO and co-founder of Addverb Technologies, the company plans to unveil its first humanoid robots by 2025. These robots are expected to function across a variety of sectors, including fashion and energy. Initial production is set at 100 units for the first year, with plans to scale up production in subsequent years.

Details and Design

While specific details regarding the robots’ tasks and pricing remain undisclosed, a concept image shared by Addverb hints at the design of these robots. Based on the concept, the robots bear a resemblance to many humanoid robots currently in development, with only minor design variations.

Addverb Technologies’ Expertise in Robotics

Addverb Technologies, 56% owned by Reliance Group, which is controlled by Mukesh Ambani, is no newcomer to advanced technology. The company has previously developed groundbreaking AI solutions, including a four-legged robot named Tracr. This experience positions Addverb Technologies as a promising player in the humanoid robot sector.

As the project progresses, it will be intriguing to see how Mukesh Ambani and his team succeed in this ambitious venture, potentially transforming the global robotics landscape.
