Samsung and Google Join Forces: A New AI-Powered Home Robot Is Coming!
Samsung and Google have unveiled Ballie, a brand-new AI-powered home robot. The smart little device will first be available in the United States and South Korea and is expected to hit the shelves during the summer.
Samsung has partnered with Google to create this intelligent home assistant named Ballie. This compact, spherical robot is powered by Google’s Gemini AI and is designed to handle small household tasks with ease.
Thanks to Google Cloud integration, Ballie is equipped with Gemini, a cutting-edge artificial intelligence system. This smart home companion can turn lights on and off, remind you of important tasks, greet visitors at the door, and even feed your pets.
Ballie Will First Launch in the U.S. and South Korea

Ballie goes beyond just responding to voice commands. It also features an integrated camera and advanced sensors, allowing it to process visual data. This enables Ballie to analyze its surroundings and react in real-time. For example, it can offer outfit suggestions or give personalized recommendations based on your mood.
This project marks a new step in the AI-focused collaboration between Samsung and Google. The two tech giants previously collaborated on AI features in the Galaxy S24 series.
Initially, Ballie will be available exclusively in the U.S. and South Korea, as confirmed by the companies. While no official price has been announced yet, sources suggest that Ballie is expected to be a premium device, given its wide range of intelligent features.
Meanwhile, rumors suggest that Apple is also developing a desktop-style home robot, which is expected to be unveiled sometime in 2025.
