Roblox CEO David Baszucki has made statements regarding how they will transform the platform into a matchmaking hub. According to David Baszucki, Roblox will become a medium where people meet and then connect in real life.

Participating in a podcast called TechStuff, CEO David Baszucki stated that Roblox could become a medium where people can flirt.

In fact, David Baszucki’s dating vision is not entirely new. As of 2023, Roblox already grants access to “romance-themed” and dark humor content for users who have completed age verification.

Optional Usage

According to the statements, the feature that will turn Roblox into a dating platform will be optional. It’s also stated that there will be a 21-year-old age limit to use this feature. CEO David Baszucki stated that there are already companies doing this, and they will also join this category.

According to the Roblox CEO, the important point here is to offer a more civilized and higher quality service compared to competitors. The Roblox CEO says they can organize concerts, movie screenings, and meeting events within Roblox to bring people together. Describing these as opportunities, the CEO did not say anything else about what they will do to implement the dating mechanism.

The Roblox CEO had previously said that people would start flirting through Roblox and then take it into real life. The latest statement reveals that this vision is still valid.
