Revolutionary AI Features Are Coming to the Google Chrome Search Bar!

Google has started testing new features in Chrome’s search bar. These features allow you to use the “Nano Banana” and “Deep Research” artificial intelligence features directly from the search.

Google, which has managed to become one of the world’s leading companies in AI features with Gemini, had begun to integrate this technology into all its services. Search was one of them. So much so, that features that could be revolutionary, like the “AI Mode” which displays AI-generated results in Google Search, are currently usable.

Now, it has emerged that Google will make even bigger changes to the search function. According to what was spotted by Windows Report, a brand new test has begun in Chrome Canary. The company will add 2 brand new AI features to Chrome’s search bar.

Nano Banana and Deep Research options will be added to search

When we look at the screenshots from the tests, we can see that the search bar in Google Chrome has changed. Accordingly, the company is adding two new options under the search bar: “Nano Banana” and “Deep Research.” These options will allow users to use advanced AI features directly through search. Thus, Chrome will transform into a more AI-powered browser.

When you search by pressing the Nano Banana option, you will be able to automatically generate an image of what you typed directly from the search. Deep Research, powered by Gemini, will help by deeply researching complex questions on the internet to give you detailed, more reliable results. Let’s note that you can use these features when you open a new tab. This will turn the search bar into much more than just a simple search function.

Let’s underline that the new AI options are currently in the testing phase. It is not certain whether they will be definitively rolled out to users. The company will decide this based on feedback. If they gather positive feedback, there is a possibility they will indeed be widely released soon.
