Puma Launches Black Station Metaverse For NFT Collection

Puma is set to feature its sneaker NFTs as part of the Futrograde collection at New York Fashion Week, starting tomorrow. The collection will also include the physical presentation of the shoes.

This move positions Puma alongside another sportswear giant, Adidas, in launching digital clothing collections.

Adam Petrick, Puma’s Chief Brand Officer, commented: “20 years ago, the Black Station was the hub for PUMA’s most innovative designs in fashion. As we are currently pushing the limits both in product design and digital innovation, we found the Black Station name to be fitting.”

The Futrograde collection from Puma is part of a growing trend where clothing and luxury brands introduce physical products that are tied to digital assets, known as “phygitals.” In a similar vein, luxury clothing brand Prada has also launched NFT designs with physical counterparts.
