Apple is reportedly working on Siri-based AI robots. A new report suggests that in addition to a desktop robot, wheeled and industrial models are also in the works. Here are the details…

New details have emerged about Apple’s AI-powered robot projects. According to a recent report from Bloomberg, the company is not working on just one device, but multiple robots designed for different uses. At the heart of these robots will be interactive Siri support.

Apple Ramps Up Efforts for Siri-Based AI Robots

One of the new robot models Apple is planning will be a desktop robot with an iPad-like screen. This screen, integrated on a movable arm, will be able to turn towards the person speaking to facilitate a more natural interaction. During FaceTime calls, it will keep the user constantly in the frame for a more dynamic experience.

The biggest development is that Apple is preparing an advanced version of Siri for this device. The new Siri will be able to make contextual suggestions during conversations and actively participate. For example, if two people are talking about dinner, the robot could suggest nearby restaurants. The device’s friendly face, represented by the smiling Finder icon in macOS, is intended to create a more personal connection with the user.

The company’s robot projects are not limited to desktop models. It’s also claimed that a wheeled robot similar to Amazon’s Astro and even a humanoid model are in the design phase. It is also mentioned that Apple is developing a large-scale robotic arm with the code name T1333 for production environments. These projects will be overseen by Kevin Lynch, known for his work on Apple Watch software and automotive projects.

While these initiatives demonstrate Apple’s ambitions in AI and robotics, it’s not certain that all devices will be released, similar to the fate of the company’s Project Titan, which was shelved in the past. Therefore, we will have to wait a little longer for all the details.
