This perspective underscores the significance the company places on integrating the metaverse into modern customer interactions.
Microsoft Cares About Metaverse
Microsoft is steadfast in its commitment to the metaverse’s future. At the CES 2023 event, when responding to questions from CoinDesk TV, Microsoft’s Chief Strategy Officer Henry Bzeih highlighted the increasing shift towards a digital world, suggesting a hybrid model as the likely future for consumer and corporate interactions.
“With 28 years of experience in the automotive and technology sectors, I believe we must consider the metaverse when discussing the complete customer experience,” Bzeih stated.
CES, one of the tech industry’s most significant events, is renowned for introducing groundbreaking innovations.
Bzeih mentioned that Microsoft’s current focus is on “mobility cross-functionality,” aiming to revolutionize how customers interact with platforms for shopping purposes. He used car purchasing as an example of this transformation.
According to Bzeih, consumers can now configure a car’s color and features through the metaverse instead of visiting a dealership. He referred to the Fiat 500e showcased in Microsoft’s virtual car showroom, highlighting the company’s collaboration with the metaverse firm Touchcast. This partnership, he described, represents a “natural progression” in leading data development for this Fiat model.
