Meta-signed Virtual Reality Headset Leaked
The concept of the Metaverse has gained renewed attention, particularly with Facebook’s rebranding to Meta, under the leadership of Mark Zuckerberg.
Meta is actively working on the development of a virtual reality headset known as Project Cambria.
While exact details about Project Cambria are not publicly known, leaked images have surfaced, providing some insight into the potential appearance of the upcoming virtual reality headset.
The leaked information suggests that Meta is taking significant steps to keep Project Cambria under wraps as it prepares for the anticipated advancements in the Metaverse.
META’S PROJECT CAMBRIA LEAKED
Leaker Brad Lynch shared a few images of Project Cambria on Twitter. Lynch said these images were created using information leaked from the supply chain, and he believes they are “250%” accurate. The design in the images is also similar to the official design shared by Meta.
WHAT’S IN THE NEW VR HEADSET?
Analyzing the leaked images of Project Cambria, it appears that the device shares some design similarities with the Oculus Quest 2, although it is believed to be lighter and more stylish. The general consensus is that the device will boast stronger technical features.
The inclusion of a front-facing camera suggests potential support for mixed reality or augmented reality, enabling the placement of digital elements on real-world images. Project Cambria is anticipated to be a standalone headset, eliminating the need for a connection to a computer, and is expected to feature eye-tracking technology for improved visual experiences. Meta had previously hinted at introducing Project Cambria in 2022, so an official unveiling is eagerly awaited.
