Meta is set to open its physical store, Meta Store, on May 9, located on Meta’s Burlingame campus. The store will feature devices such as Ray-Ban smart glasses, Meta’s Portal device, and the virtual reality headset Quest 2.

The company expressed that the Meta Store aims to provide an interactive experience with all their hardware products, emphasizing the importance of hands-on engagement. According to Meta, the primary goal is to inspire people with ideas about the future as interest in the metaverse continues to grow.

Martin Gilliard, President of Meta Store, mentioned, “We don’t sell the metaverse in our store, but hopefully people will come and learn a little bit more about how our products connect them to it.”

Despite Meta’s significant investment in the metaverse, including a name change, Meta’s Reality Labs reported a loss of over $10 billion in 2021.
