Elon Musk recently introduced xAI Grok, an artificial intelligence system designed to outperform existing AI bots, including ChatGPT. Grok, distinguished by its ability to integrate real-time data and instantaneous information from X/Twitter, represents a significant advancement in AI technology.
Launched by xAI, a company newly formed for AI research and dedicated to this endeavor, Grok was made available to a select group of users just a day prior to Musk’s announcement.
During the launch, Musk outlined his vision to integrate video surveillance, live streaming, and AI-powered chat functionalities under the ‘X’ ecosystem. He emphasized that xAI Grok is designed to infuse responses with humor, setting it apart from other AI platforms currently on the market.
Similar to GPT-4, Grok boasts the ability to access the internet, enhancing its capability to provide up-to-date information and responses.
REAL TIME
Discussing the xAI platform, Musk highlighted, “Grok has the ability to access information in real-time through the X platform, giving it an advantage over other models. It’s also intrinsically designed to understand and employ sarcasm,” he noted.
Musk announced that following the completion of the early access phase, the platform will be opened to the wider public, albeit with a stipulation. Access to xAI will necessitate an X Premium Plus subscription, as the company intends to make this advanced technology available exclusively to users who subscribe to the Premium Plus tier on the X platform.
