Hermès Enters NFT and Metaverse

The luxury brand Hermès is gearing up to enter the realms of NFTs and the Metaverse, as evidenced by its recent trademark application.

Hermès has filed for a trademark that will enable it to operate within the Metaverse and NFT sector, areas that are increasingly becoming focal points for major fashion companies.


Hermès Apply for Trademark

The submission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) was publicized today on Twitter by Michael Kondoudis, a licensed trademark attorney.

Furthermore, should the trademark applications be approved, Hermès intends to provide downloadable video game software. This software will feature, among other elements, virtual goods, and user authentication services utilizing e-commerce technology.

It’s noteworthy that despite the stagnating markets, global luxury watch and fashion brands are increasingly gravitating towards the world of cryptocurrencies.

Take for instance, Jacob & Co., which is set to unveil its brand-new Astronomia Solar Bitcoin limited edition, a timepiece inspired by cryptocurrencies.

This exclusive reveal will be by appointment only at its world premiere during the ‘Geneva Watch Days’. This launch marks the first highly prestigious watch designed with a cryptocurrency theme.
