Tech giant Google has revealed its smartwatch along with the latest additions to its smartphone line, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, both of which are equipped with artificial intelligence.
To enhance the Pixel series, Google has incorporated the new Tensor G3 mobile processor, which integrates various machine learning and generative AI models directly into the device.
At the “Made by Google” event in New York, the company displayed its latest Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones, powered by the Tensor G3 chip, and introduced its innovative smartwatch.
Thanks to these advancements, Google’s newest smartphones are designed to harness AI and machine learning, particularly in functionalities such as the camera.
The Pixel 8 Pro introduces new AI-supported editing tools, enabling users to merge similar photos into a single image where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling. It also offers the capability to remove unwanted audio from videos.
The Pixel 8 model is set to be priced starting at $699, while the Pixel 8 Pro will start at $999.
The Pixel Watch 2, a smartwatch priced from $349, will have the ability to monitor users’ stress levels. The smartwatch will provide health-oriented suggestions, like encouraging a walk or recommending a breathing exercise.
Orders for these new devices are being accepted starting today, with the products hitting the shelves on October 12.
