Google has started rolling out a brand-new feature that allows you to try on clothes without needing to go to a store. The standout aspect of this feature is that it can work with just a selfie instead of a full-body photo.
We had already seen that the online shopping experience has started to improve significantly thanks to developments in artificial intelligence technologies. You could already try clothes on yourself without visiting a store. Google was also one of the prominent firms regarding these types of features.
Now, the company has announced that a brand-new feature has started to be rolled out. Currently launched only for users in the US, this feature allows you to try on the outfit you want by uploading a single image.
You Can Upload a Selfie and Try On the Outfit You Want The working principle of the feature is quite simple. You upload just a selfie and select which size you wear. Following this, a digital version of your body is generated using the Gemini 2.5 Flash Image artificial intelligence model, allowing you to try on the outfit you desire.
Normally, such features require the user to upload a photo containing their entire body. Thanks to AI technologies, Google has eliminated this need and started offering a way to generate your full body by adding just a selfie. The feature can be tried via the link here. However, since it is currently only available in the US, we unfortunately cannot access it.
There is no information yet on when this great feature, offered to users via Google Shopping, will be widely released. We can say that it will be truly useful when it becomes available to everyone.
