The Metaverse platform Sandbox has introduced a unique game event titled ‘Month of Sharing’ aimed at its Muslim audience.
In this event, players have the opportunity to embody the role of a sahur drummer, providing wake-up services in the historical setting of the 17th century Ottoman Empire.
Throughout the Ramadan month, this event is accessible to players, offering tasks that involve exploration, parkour, and the collection, discovery, and completion of Ramadan-specific delicacies, including baklava.
Launched for the first time last year, the event successfully unites millions of participants from across the globe in a virtual celebration of Ramadan.

The Sandbox has recently unveiled a collection of 500 NFTs and avatars inspired by the characters from the “Magnificent Century” series, a show that has captivated over 500 million viewers worldwide. This series, which narrates the life of Suleiman the Magnificent and Hürrem Sultan, offers its fans numerous rewards and opportunities with the purchase of these avatars.
The Metaverse platform is set to provide 5 users who acquire items from this collection with an opportunity to immerse themselves in Istanbul’s rich history through a 2-day trip, in addition to facilitating an online interaction with Timur Savcı, the producer of the series. Additionally, 500 players and investors will receive an exclusive “Magnificent Century X The Sandbox” poster.
For gaming enthusiasts, Sandbox is creating a prize pool of 50,000 SAND for events scheduled for April 9. The first game, titled “Harem Social Hub,” invites users to explore the historical intricacies of the Harem section in Topkapı Palace.
In the solo “Magnificent Century” game, players will acquaint themselves with significant figures from the era, such as the architect Mimar Sinan. Moreover, users possessing the “Magnificent Century” avatar will have access to the special prize pool designated for these gaming experiences.
