Samsung introduced the Galaxy AI feature with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series at a special event in January 2024. This artificial intelligence application, initially compatible with the S24 series, is also available on select Galaxy phones and tablets as part of the One UI 6.1 operating system. Which tablets and phones are compatible with Samsung Galaxy AI?
Samsung Galaxy AI is compatible with the 2022 model phone lineup, but it has shortcomings
The Galaxy AI feature, initially expected to be exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series and later flagship models, received a positive response from users following Samsung’s announcement of its expansion to earlier devices. The feature was rolled out to the Galaxy S23 and Z Fold 5 series in March and April and is set to be released for the Galaxy S21 series, albeit with some limitations.
The One UI 6.1 update, which includes Galaxy AI, Google Circle to Search, Live Translate, and Chat Assistant, has been almost fully implemented on devices such as the Galaxy S22, Z Fold 4, and Z Flip 4. However, due to hardware limitations, the Galaxy S21 series will not support features like Live Translate, Chat Assistant, and Browsing Assistant.
Samsung has stated that not all devices will receive the Galaxy AI feature, but models released after 2022 might have it available for flagship phones. Here is a list of Galaxy phones and tablets that have received or will receive the Samsung Galaxy AI features:
