CoinMarketCap, owned by the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, has partnered with ChatGPT, an AI chatbot powered by LLM, to introduce a new plugin.
The plugin, which contains current cryptocurrency data, is free for users. ChatGPT Plus account holders can access this feature after activation, as announced on October 11. This allows them to ask a variety of questions about digital currencies to LLM.
To use this CoinMarketCap plugin, a ChatGPT Plus subscription priced at $20 is required. Developers mentioned that prior to September 2021, ChatGPT’s cryptocurrency data was mostly static. However, the new update enables access to real-time crypto data. LLM can now easily provide answers to questions like What is the correlation between Bitcoin and Ether in 2023?
Thanks to this collaboration, users can retrieve information such as the latest listings, asset price trends, and blockchain metrics directly from CoinMarketCap. This tool works smoothly on both PCs and handheld devices. With the growing popularity of ChatGPT, many crypto exchanges are adopting AI solutions.
For example, Bitget has introduced an AI-based grid trading feature that allows users to leverage algorithmic trading. Gracy Chen, Bitget’s chief, shared insights on how the platform utilizes AI for translations and improving customer service efficiency.
Meanwhile, Nasdaq recently received approval from the U.S. SEC for its AI-driven trading commands. In a similar vein, Binance has launched an AI-powered tool for NFT creation, catering to its user base.
