Character.AI Introduces AI Video Creation & Social Feed

Character.AI, a platform dedicated to AI characters, now allows you to create videos. The company has announced new features, including a video creation tool for users. Additionally, it is now possible to share created content in a social feed. As artificial intelligence advances, we have seen many different AI tools entering our lives, each offering unique advantages. Character.AI, a platform centered on role-playing and chat with AI characters, was one of these. Now, the platform has announced innovations that will thrill its users.
Character.AI has revealed that it is bringing a video creation tool and social feed features to its platform. Powered by the AvatarFX model, the video creation tool allows users to generate videos. The Scenes and Streams social media feature enables users to create videos featuring their characters and share them in a new social feed. In effect, the platform is set to become a social media platform containing AI-generated content.
The AvatarFX model actually began rolling out to subscribers last month, but it is now available to everyone. Users will be able to generate up to five videos per day. By uploading a photo, they can create videos featuring their characters. The tool also offers the ability to add voiceovers and write dialogue in the videos.
With AvatarFX, users can turn their created videos into Scenes, which can be incorporated into stories created by other users. Through Scenes, dynamic moments featuring multiple AI characters can be created, and all of these innovations can be shared on an entirely new social feed. In other words, Character.AI is poised to transform into a social media platform centered on AI-generated content.

The company has also stated that it has taken precautions against potential misuse. According to these measures, it will not be possible to add images of real people to the AvatarFX tool—whether they are famous or not. When generating images that resemble real people, the results will be produced in a way that makes them look slightly different. You can see the Mark Zuckerberg example above.
Of course, despite these precautions, there is still a high risk that these features could find a way to be misused. We will have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully, this will not become a new way to deceive people.
