US supermodel Bella Hadid has revealed plans to launch an NFT collection called CY-B3LLA, featuring artwork created from 3D scans of her face and body.
Hadid expressed her fascination with shared virtual world environments and mentioned her desire to create “cool versions” of herself. This decision comes after her newfound interest in video games during the COVID-19 quarantine period.
With the launch of CY-B3LLA, Bella Hadid is set to make her entry into the Metaverse.
CY-B3LLA NFT Collection
Bella Hadid has previously shared on her Instagram account that she created NFTs with the intention of promoting travel, community, growth, and human interactions. Commenting on the experience, she described it as “super fun” and noted that the final results had distinct facial expressions.
The CY-B3LLA NFT collection, comprising 11,111 NFTs, was developed in collaboration with the NFT platform reBASE. The inspiration for these NFTs came from participants in 10 different countries, including contributions from local artists. Bella Hadid expressed her interest in seeing the various versions of herself that participants’ brains would create, stating, “I have so many different versions of myself that I can imagine and do.”
The locations and digital assets accompanying the CY-B3LLA NFTs feature images of Hadid in a robotic style inspired by Japan, making it the first collection created in this context. The official launch is expected in September. Each NFT will serve as an entrance to a global community, unlocking rewards for holders. Additionally, NFT owners will gain access to real events attended by Bella Hadid. Although the exact date of NFT receipt has not been announced, interested buyers will have the opportunity to register online.
