Android Getting AI-Powered Notification Organizer

Google is working on an AI-powered notification organization feature for Android. Incoming phone notifications will be automatically categorized into groups like promotions, news, and social media. Google is developing a notification organizer feature that uses artificial intelligence to group phone notifications by category. Similar to how email applications like Gmail automatically sort inboxes, Android will categorize notifications.

The notification organizer feature will use artificial intelligence to analyze incoming notifications and, upon identifying a match, will silence the notification and include it in one of four categories:
- Promotions: Sales, new product features, and more.
- News: Top headlines, articles, and more.
- Social: Likes, posts, and more.
Users will be given the option to exclude specific applications from this feature.
It’s rumored that the AI-powered notification grouping feature might be exclusive to Pixel phones and could be released with the Pixel 10 model. The feature may also require a powerful on-device AI model like Gemini Nano.
