A Feature Not Found Even in Its Biggest Rival, ChatGPT, Has Come to Copilot

Microsoft now offers the ability to convert 2D images into 3D almost instantly thanks to a new feature brought to Copilot. Here are all the details about the feature!

Microsoft has managed to reach millions of users with its AI-powered assistant, Copilot. Serving a wide range of functions from writing emails to summarizing documents, and even assisting with games, Copilot has gained a new feature.

The company’s newly announced Copilot 3D feature pushes the boundaries of users’ creativity by transforming flat 2D images into three-dimensional models. Moreover, this feature is not even available in the most popular AI tool, ChatGPT.

It’s possible to convert 2D images to 3D

Users can log in to the Copilot 3D website and upload their images in JPG or PNG format. After the image is uploaded, the conversion begins with a single click, and the process takes less than a minute. The generated models will be stored for 28 days under the “My Creations” tab and can be downloaded in GLB format.

Microsoft recommends using a photo of a single object on a simple background with balanced lighting conditions for the best results. This will allow designers, game developers, and creative professionals to turn a simple image into a ready-to-use 3D model in seconds.
