ASUS has introduced its gaming router featuring a built-in artificial intelligence processor. Developed specifically for gamers, the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI comes with support for wireless speeds up to 19 Gbps.

Asus has unveiled the world’s first AI-powered Wi-Fi 7 router: the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI. The WiFi 7 router combines 320 MHz channels with 4096-QAM modulation to deliver incredibly fast wireless speeds. It supports standard 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency bands, ensuring broad compatibility with both old and new generation devices.

The router offers speeds of up to 19 Gbps in wireless mode, thanks to the latest Wi-Fi 7 technologies. For wired connections, it features two 10 GbE ports, plus four additional 2.5G LAN ports. One of the 10G ports can be used as a dedicated gaming port to prioritize traffic with minimal configuration. For even higher wired speeds, two Ethernet ports can be combined into a single logical connection, achieving a total bandwidth of 20 Gbps.

Asus‘s new gaming router model comes with a quad-core 2.6 GHz main processor, 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, and 32 GB of internal flash storage. It also features a separate AI processor with four cores running at 2.1 GHz and a 7.9 TOPS NPU. This processor has an additional 32 GB of flash storage. This ensures that AI functions have dedicated computing resources and operate independently from core processes.

The separate AI processor enables Docker Engine integration, allowing users to run applications like Home Assistant for smart home automation or Frigate for AI video recognition. Many other applications are also supported and can run directly on the router for seamless control of various IoT ecosystems within a wider coverage area.

Another AI-powered feature is the Private Edge AI chatbot assistant, which helps users resolve common issues and perform quick control actions. It comes with an AI suite that provides automatic ways to optimize WiFi stability, game latency, energy efficiency, and device management, enabling a faster and more reliable experience.

The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI helps reduce latency by up to 34% thanks to features like GTNet or Adaptive QoE, which automatically monitor traffic and dynamically adjust priorities in real-time.
