Tesla Is Bringing “Low Power Mode” to Its Vehicles: What It Is and What It Does

Tesla is preparing to introduce a “Low Power Mode” feature to prevent the battery drain that car owners experience during long parking periods. The new mode will turn off many energy-consuming functions with a single tap.
Tesla is working on a new feature to solve the long-standing problem of energy consumption in its vehicles. Code lines found in the company’s mobile app show that the “Low Power Mode” will be available with the upcoming 2025.32 software update.
A Solution to Idle Energy Consumption

The Low Power Mode aims to reduce unnecessary energy loss when Tesla owners park their vehicles for extended periods. When this mode is activated, many of the vehicle’s idle energy-consuming functions are automatically shut down. These include features like Smart Summon, Sentry Mode, and Camp Mode.
Tesla is designing the Low Power Mode as a flexible control tool rather than a rigid shutdown system. Other disabled functions can be reactivated by the user if desired.
The new feature can be easily turned on and off from both the in-car menu and the Tesla app. Users can also set the Low Power Mode to automatically activate when the battery reaches a certain percentage. This will allow the car to automatically switch to an energy-saving mode during long parking periods, such as for vacations or business trips.
This feature will be a great convenience for drivers who have to park their cars for long periods, especially during vacations or business trips. Functions that previously had to be turned off one by one can now be collectively deactivated with a single button, preventing the battery from being drained unnecessarily.
