Reebok Enters the Health Tech Market with a Smart Ring

Reebok has entered the health technology market with its first smart ring, the Smart Ring. It is improving the fitness experience through a partnership with F45 Training.

Reebok announced its first step into the health technology sector on Friday. The company introduced its first smart ring while simultaneously launching a global collaboration with the boutique fitness chain F45 Training. This partnership aims to bring Reebok’s performance-focused apparel together with the F45 community.

Reebok Smart Ring: Overall Health Tracking with a Single Score

The Reebok Smart Ring is designed to help users monitor their workouts, recovery processes, and overall health status.

The ring, which has a price tag of $249, collects data such as activity, heart rate, sleep patterns, stress levels, and body temperature, presenting users with a single, overall health score called “One Score“. This score reflects the individual’s overall wellness and readiness level for training.

All collected data will be viewable through the Reebok Fitness application.

F45 Trainers to be Equipped with Reebok Gear

As part of the new partnership, F45 trainers will wear Reebok apparel. Additionally, a special collection co-branded by the two brands has been launched for sale on Reebok’s website.

F45 Training CEO Tom Dowd made the following statement: “This partnership with Reebok enables us to take every workout to the next level through equipment, technology, and experience.”

Reebok Smart Ring Faces Strong Competition in the Smart Ring Market

The Reebok Smart Ring will directly compete with popular smart rings such as the Oura Ring, Ultrahuman Ring, and Samsung Galaxy Ring.

While previous models have been known to be deficient in fitness tracking, it remains to be seen whether Reebok can make a difference in this area. Users testing the product will soon see if there are improvements in performance tracking.
