New Trailer Released for Predator: Badlands

The Predator franchise, which was revived with the release of Prey, will return to cinemas this year with a new film. The highly anticipated new movie in the series, Predator: Badlands, will be released on November 7. With the premiere date fast approaching, 20th Century Studios released one last trailer for Badlands today as they continue their promotional efforts.
Predator: Badlands is directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who also directed Prey. Trachtenberg, who brought a different touch to the series with Prey, is starting from an intriguing concept in Badlands as well. The Predator, which we normally see as the hunter, becomes the prey this time.
The film follows Dek, a young Predator who has been outcast by his own civilization and is attempting to survive with limited means on a deadly planet. He finds an unlikely ally in a synthetic android played by Elle Fanning.
The Alien Connection in Predator: Badlands Draws Attention
The android character played by Elle Fanning makes Predator: Badlands even more interesting. This is because the character is an android produced by the Weyland-Yutani corporation, which we recognize from the Alien films. This is seen as a sign that the Predator and Alien franchises will be connected once again. Recent rumors also point in this direction. For this reason, Predator: Badlands could be the film that lays the groundwork for a new Alien vs. Predator movie.
The shift in the core premise—with the Predator as the prey and the inclusion of Weyland-Yutani—definitely makes this one of the most intriguing entries in the franchise! Are you excited about the potential for another Alien vs. Predator crossover?
