DJI Introduces Its New Palm-Sized Drone: What Does the Neo 2 Offer?

DJI has officially introduced its new drone model, the Neo 2, which is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. What does this mini drone, which comes with many improvements over its predecessor, offer? DJI has officially introduced its new compact but highly capable drone model, the Neo 2. The drone, small enough to fit in your palm, comes with significant improvements over its predecessor, such as higher-resolution recording, obstacle avoidance, and advanced stabilization.
DJI Neo 2 Features

The Neo 2 is slightly larger and heavier than the previous model, weighing 151 grams (160 grams with the digital video transmission module). For comparison, the first Neo model was 135 grams. However, despite this slight weight increase, the drone can fly at a higher speed (43 km/h).
The mini drone is powered by a 1,606 mAh (11.5 Wh) battery, offering up to 19 minutes of flight time. DJI states that the Neo 2 can remain stable even in winds approaching 40 km/h.
On the camera side, it features a 1/2-inch sensor, a 119.8-degree field of view, an f/2.2 aperture, and 4K 60/100 fps video recording at up to 80 Mbps. The device includes 49 GB of internal storage and houses a dual-axis gimbal system for image stabilization. It also features gesture control and omnidirectional obstacle sensing (using a front-facing LiDAR sensor and a bottom-facing infrared sensor).
The DJI Neo 2 has been released in China for 1,499 yuan ($211), a 200 yuan increase over its predecessor. The global launch is scheduled for November 13. Prices with additional accessories are as follows:
- Drone + extra battery + charging case: $282
- Drone + RC-N3 controller: $353
- Drone + Motion 3 controller and Goggles N3 package: $523
