Microsoft Ede now features an AI Copilot Mode

Microsoft has announced that it has begun testing an experimental Copilot Mode in the Edge browser. This mode will allow users to ask the assistant questions about open tabs and perform various operations.
Microsoft continues to integrate its AI assistant, Copilot, into its products. The company announced that it has started testing an experimental Copilot Mode in the Edge browser.

Searches across all your tabs This mode enables Copilot to search across all your open tabs and perform tasks such as making a restaurant reservation. The Copilot chatbot is also integrated into the new tab page. When you allow Copilot to see all your open tabs, you can, for example, ask it to compare multiple hotels or summarize the best options from various shopping tabs. Copilot is also integrated to appear in the address bar.
Additionally, Copilot supports features like opening tabs with voice commands to find information on a website or compare products. Microsoft states that in the future, Copilot will be able to make reservations on your behalf by accessing your browser history and credentials with your permission. For users who do not wish to use this mode, Microsoft says that Copilot Mode will be completely optional and can be easily disabled in the settings.
Microsoft notes that Copilot Mode is currently experimental and will be developed over time. These features are currently offered free for a limited period, and usage limits apply to some functions. This suggests that Microsoft may include this mode in a subscription system in the future.
