Meta Announces $600 Billion New Investment Plan

Meta will invest $600 billion in the US by 2028. The focus is on data centers for Artificial Intelligence. The goal is economic growth and technological superiority.
In response to the needs of the AI era, Meta has announced an investment plan of unprecedented size in the US. The company aims to invest a total of $600 billion by 2028. The largest portion of this enormous budget will be allocated to data centers that will support Artificial Intelligence applications.

In the announcement, led by Mark Zuckerberg, it was emphasized that the data centers will contribute significantly not only to technology but also to employment and the economy. Since 2010, Meta’s data centers have created approximately 30,000 indirect jobs and 5,000 full-time positions.
The investments also cover areas such as infrastructure development, supercomputer capacity, sustainable energy, and water management. Meta maintains its goal of becoming water positive by 2030. These steps are expected to enable the company to get ahead in the AI competition.
Meta acknowledges that an investment of this magnitude carries significant risks. However, the company prefers to “over-invest rather than fall behind.” This strategy concerns not only the technology race but also the US’s position in global competition.
