Mercedes-Benz CLA L EV with Over 800 Kilometers of Range Introduced!

Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new version of the electric CLA. The car, named Mercedes-Benz CLA L EV, as can be guessed, promises a higher range. So, what does this car offer, and what is its price?

The German automotive giant Mercedes-Benz’s branch in China has made a striking move. The company unveiled a new version of the electric CLA at an event. The car, named Mercedes-Benz CLA L EV, seems set to attract attention with its high range. Let’s look at the details about this car.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA L EV does not look different from the original CLA EV. In this context, details such as the starred lighting design on the front and rear, the large grille, and the body-integrated door handles continue to be present in the L version. However, there is one significant difference here. The new version’s length has been increased by 40 millimeters, reaching 4,783 millimeters. As you can guess, this increase contributed to a higher range because more space means a bigger battery.

Introducing the Mercedes-Benz CLA L EV:

The Mercedes-Benz CLA L EV is also no different from the standard CLA EV in terms of interior design. This means the three-screen setup and the new operating system named MB.OS, which we saw in the CLA EV introduced a few months ago, will also be available in the L version. As in the standard version, a 25-inch screen will be present in the new version, and consumers can opt for a 14-inch passenger screen.

According to the statement made by Mercedes-Benz, the CLA L EV will have an 85 kWh capacity battery pack. This will provide an 866-kilometer range according to CLTC standards. The car, which consumes 10.9 kWh of energy per 100 kilometers, will support fast charging up to 325 kW. The battery of the Mercedes-Benz CLA L EV, which has an 800V architecture, will provide a 325-kilometer range with only a 10-minute charge.

Consumers who wish to own the Mercedes-Benz CLA L EV will need to set aside $36,000. Those who want to purchase the more feature-packed “Intelligent Edition” will have to settle for prices starting from $42,000. It is currently not certain whether the car, introduced in the Chinese market, will be released in global markets.
