The animated series Marvel Zombies, which aims to tell the Marvel universe from a different perspective by taking it into a zombie parallel universe, has been released on the Disney+ platform.
The Marvel Zombies animated series, announced in 2021 but experiencing difficulties in its development process and at one point rumored to be cancelled by Marvel, was made available on the Disney+ platform this week.
What is Marvel Zombies about?
The zombie universe, which gained popularity with the “Zombies?!” episode of the animated series What If…, was approved for its own series in 2021. We even saw a zombie version of Doctor Strange in the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, its long absence from Disney events brought up rumors of cancellation. Late last year, Marvel made an announcement about the series’ progress and revealed its official release date.
Marvel Zombies, which was released a week earlier than the announced date, aims to explain the zombie universe in more detail. Famous actors such as Awkwafina, David Harbour, Elizabeth Olsen, Randall Park, Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld, Dominique Thorne, and Iman Vellani will reprise their roles by voicing their characters in this series. Todd Williams will also portray the beloved character Blade in the series.
