Manchester City Reveals Metaverse World Jersey
Manchester City has consistently been one of the Premier League’s most proactive clubs in embracing new technologies. PUMA and Manchester City recently unveiled their third team kits for the 2022-2023 season within the Roblox Metaverse.
The debut of the new jersey took place within the Roblox world, providing fans with the unique opportunity to explore and engage with the latest kits as part of the PUMA and Land of Games experience.
Manchester City Land of Games Experience
Utilizing Roblox, which has become the preferred gaming platform for several major companies involved in virtual experiences, Manchester City has collaborated with Puma to launch the team’s third jersey featuring yellow and navy blue stripes. The launch is effective immediately, and for a limited time, Roblox will actively promote both the Manchester City home kit and the third kit.
During this promotional period, updates on new community-created products, new tier items, and various events will be shared. Special events are planned within Man City’s Blue Moon area on Roblox, offering visitors the chance to win free items by participating in these activities.
Football Rush races are scheduled to take place at PUMA and Land Games for two weeks following the launch. Winners of these races will receive a free Manchester City digital kit, while other users will have the option to purchase the new digital third Manchester City jersey from the PUMA Store on Roblox.
The unique Metaverse event integrates elements of the existing lobby and stadium at PUMA and Land Games. For a limited time, the experience will also feature the Manchester City Stadium and their third kit.
To support the launch, PUMA will organize a YouTube tournament featuring ten participants divided into two teams. The tournament will occur after the kit launch event, with winners receiving $10,000 USD on Roblox. Ivan Dashkov, PUMA Cultural Director, expressed excitement about the continued enhancement of their Roblox experience in collaboration with PUMA and Games Land. Dashkov emphasized Manchester City as an ideal partner for pushing boundaries and innovation with the released jersey, expressing the intention to explore and learn more in the web3 domain while leveraging Roblox as a platform to connect with fans of all ages.
