Previously featured on the Samsung Galaxy S24, the Samsung Galaxy AI has been extended to additional devices through the One UI 6.1 update.
Samsung continues its efforts to expand artificial intelligence features across more smartphones and tablets. Aiming to lead in the field, the South Korean tech giant has introduced the Samsung Galaxy AI to new devices with the latest One UI 6.1 update.
Samsung brings artificial intelligence to its high-end devices
The devices set to receive the One UI update include the Galaxy S23 series, Z Flip5, Z Fold5, S23FE, and the Tab S9 series. These devices will gradually be updated with artificial intelligence services, starting with the rollout of the One UI 6.1 update beginning today.
Samsung AI offers users a wide array of services, ranging from live translation and circular search to note assistance and creative editing. Additionally, the chat assistant feature, capable of recommending sentences and patterns aligned with the chat content, is part of the artificial intelligence enhancements.
Implementing artificial intelligence on mobile devices is challenging, and Samsung is likely to limit these features to premium or high-end devices, at least for on-device execution initially. However, Samsung might explore alternatives like cloud connectivity to expand AI capabilities to more devices in the future. With competitors like Apple planning to integrate artificial intelligence into their upcoming flagship devices, Samsung’s initiative aims to retain its customer base by offering competitive features.
