Dub Videos in Any Language With Artificial Intelligence

Captions, a New York-based artificial intelligence-powered video editing application, secured a $25 million investment in a Series B round led by Kleiner Perkins.

The app enables users to add multilingual dubbing to videos using their own voices and provides AI-supported creative studio tools.

Among the application’s features is the ability to create AI-generated music for videos and transform long-form content into short Reels or Shorts using AI.

Captions also offers editing tools that maintain eye contact in videos, even when looking away. Users can adjust subtitle color and format to match their videos using the editing features.

The Video Script feature allows the creation of streaming texts or scenarios for video content, offering various text templates such as speech and dialogue. The app also includes a teleprompter feature.

Users can upload existing videos or shoot new ones through the app. Captions focuses on leveraging AI in the content creation process to produce studio-quality videos directly from mobile devices, addressing the growing demand for engaging video content featuring a narrator.

Captions offers two subscription packages: Captions Pro and Captions Max, with subscription fees ranging from $9.90 to $80 per month.

The Pro version provides access to all AI features, including automated subtitles and AI dubbing, as well as manual editing features such as the script generator, teleprompter, camera, and AI-generated short content.
