Starting July 31, 2024, ChatGPT Navigation Assist will be released as part of the Connect PLUS Package. This feature will be available on the C4, C4 X, C5 X, Berlingo, and SpaceTourer for passenger cars, and on the Berlingo Van and Jumpy for commercial vehicles.

Developed by OpenAI, ChatGPT is being integrated into Citroen’s infotainment system using SoundHound’s voice recognition system. This integration aims to create a smart, interactive in-car experience that simplifies daily life. On one hand, this feature enhances the existing voice recognition in Citroen’s models, making it closer to natural language and more precise and responsive.

On the other hand, it enriches the system, transforming it into a travel companion capable of understanding and answering complex questions or providing advice on various topics (from historical information and city activity tips to recipes and more). One of the main advantages of ChatGPT’s integration is enhanced voice recognition.

Thanks to significant advances in natural language processing, voice recognition is becoming more accurate and responsive. Drivers will be able to adjust the temperature without taking their eyes off the road and use voice commands to perform a variety of tasks on their way to a destination.

Furthermore, they can engage in real conversations and receive answers similar to those provided by human assistants across an infinite number of general knowledge fields. This new feature is currently available in the following countries: France, Spain, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, and Denmark.
