Google’s New AI Shopping Feature Will Revolutionize How You Shop for Clothes

During its I/O event, Google introduced a groundbreaking feature that could revolutionize online shopping. Users will now be able to try on clothes using artificial intelligence.
At the I/O event held last night, Google showcased a variety of innovations coming to its services. As expected, the biggest focus was on AI-powered features. One of these new tools has the potential to transform the way we shop online.
Google’s new feature allows you to see how clothes would look on your own body instead of on different models. You simply upload a full-body photo of yourself, and the AI does the rest.
The feature is currently available to a limited number of users through Search Labs. Shoppers can use a new “Try on” option added next to products. Once selected, the system will prompt you to upload a full-body photo. After uploading, the AI generates an image showing how the selected item would look on you. You can save or share the result if you wish.
According to Google, this feature uses an AI model that understands human bodies and clothing. That means it can analyze how garments fold, stretch, or fit based on your body shape, generating more realistic results.
A Game-Changer for Online Fashion?
Since the feature hasn’t been rolled out to everyone yet, it’s too early to judge its effectiveness. However, if it works smoothly at full scale, it could finally eliminate the question, “Will this outfit look good on me?” during online shopping. This makes it a potentially revolutionary development for e-commerce.
